Full Root-level Access
What does the full root-level access option imply? What rights will it bestow you with? How to log into your server as root?
When you have root-level access to a server, this means that you'll have full control of it. That is to say, you can set up any server-side application whatever the changes that it will make to the software environment on the server, and you'll be able to both access and customize any file, which includes system files, and modify any settings. This can be done by connecting to the server as a root user who has full privileges to do the aforementioned things and to make other users, including users that also have full privileges. This connection can be established using a web-based graphical interface or a Secure Shell console. For safety reasons, it's recommended that you create a different user for your daily work and use the root user only when you need to modify the server or to install software that may be required by some script-driven application that you'd like to run.

Full Root-level Access in VPS Servers
Our
VPS plans include different degrees of access, in order to give you the option to pick the one you need, according to your level of experience and on what you will need the server for. When you purchase a VPS with no Control Panel, you will have full root-level access and you'll control everything using a console, unless you install a third-party instrument. The servers that are ordered with the DirectAdmin or the cPanel website hosting Control Panel also come with full root access, yet most of the things which are related to your world-wide web content can be performed using a graphical interface and not a console. You can set up many different frameworks or media streaming software, for example, without any problems. When you get the virtual website hosting server with the Hepsia Control Panel, you may still use a Secure Shell console to connect, however, the root access will be limited. Yet, the Hepsia-equipped servers are the simplest to take care of.

Full Root-level Access in Dedicated Servers
You'll have full root-level access to your
dedicated server no matter which plan you choose during the registration process, as long as the server is ordered with cPanel or DirectAdmin, or without web hosting Control Panel at all. In all of these 3 cases, you're able to update any part of the software environment in any way you see fit, that makes our server packages perfect for resource-demanding applications with specific requirements which cannot be covered if you use a shared web hosting account. The main difference between these options is the fact that when you select cPanel or DirectAdmin, you'll have a web-based graphical interface to manage numerous server-side options as well as any website content which you create or upload, whereas if you order the server without a Control Panel, you'll have to do everything through a Secure Shell console or to set up a Control Panel of your liking, if it's compatible with the OS that you have selected throughout the sign up process. With the final Control Panel option that you'll be able to select on our order page - Hepsia, the root access is restricted.
